Babudhan booked under Gangster Act

Ghazipur, Mar 20 (UNI) Police today booked Babudhan Chaudhary, an accused in blast case at late BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai's residence, under Gangster Act.

In June last year, the blast had taken place at Mr Rai's resident in Tulsisagar area here in which his wife's gunner was killed and cook received serious injuries.

Police had arrested Babudhan and the late MLA's nephew Manoj Rai for the same.

During interrogation, Babudhan accepted that he had kept the bomb at the MLA's residence to use it later against the late MLA's murder accused Mukhtar Ansari. However, the bomb exploded at home accidently.

Primilary investigation reports went against him and he was booked under the Gangster Act today.
