19-year-old married woman commits suicide
Mumbai, Mar 20 (UNI) A newly-married 19-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by setting herself ablaze at her husband's home in Dindoshi here today.
Bhavna had married Nikhil Waghela last month, senior inspector Uttam Khairmode said.
The couple was quite happy and only yesterday Bhavna's father visited her and invited her and Nikhil to celebrate Holi with them at her parental home in Dahisar, Mr Khairmode said.
Bhavana had even expressed her desire to go out on a tour to which her father, Ramanlal Mackawana, had agreed.
However, this morning after Nikhil, his father and mother left house for some house-hold chores, Bhavna set herself ablaze.
The reason behind the suicide was yet to be ascertained, Mr Khairmode said, adding that no suicide note had been recovered.
Bhavna's parents, in their statement to the police, said their daughter was happy with her husband and in-laws, and had never complained against them.
