Free bicycles for girl students in rural parts
Mumbai, Mar 19 (UNI) State Finance Minister Jayant Patil has proposed free bicycles to girls in the rural parts with a view to reduce school dropouts.
The budget proposals presented by Mr Patil today has also made provisions for Rs 402.50 crore for the construction of class rooms and resource centres.
A new scheme for the construction of Anganwadi buildings at the cost of Rs 38 crore has been proposed while Rs 111.37 crore has been proposed for supplementary nutrition scheme.
A provision of Rs 90.38 crore has been made for the implementation of Thakkar Bappa Tribal Settlement Improvement Programme.
