Accused in fake visa racket case brought to Hyderabad
Hyderabad, Mar 19 (UNI) The accused in the fake US visa racket involving South Indian film actors and directors, busted by the Chennai police recently, was today brought to the city from Chennai by train for further investigation.
Police sources said a five-member Chennai police team brought Venkat Reddy, the Manager to film actor Flora Shiny, held along with two others for furnishing fake documents to the US Consulate.
Reddy was lodged in the Goshamahal police station immediately after he was brought to the city. The Andhra Pradesh police would interrogate him in connection with the case involving Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam film actors and directors.
The US Consulate General in Chennai had imposed a life ban on 200 visa applicants, connected to the South Indian Film Industry, travelling to the US for submitting false documents while applying for visas.
