Aban Offshore receives LoI for deployemnt of Aban VIII

New Delhi, Mar 19 (UNI) Offshore drilling services provider Aban Offshore today said it has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) for deployment of the newly built jack-up rig Aban VIII in West Asia.

We have received a LOI for deployment of the newly-built jack-up rig Aban VIII in West Asia for 18 wells along with four optional wells programme, a company statement said.

The estimated revenues from the contract is about 300 million dollars and is expected to be completed in four years, it added.

The deployment is to commence following delivery of the rig, which is expected in the second quarter of 2008.
