51 injured as bus plunges into water tank

Perambalur, Mar 19: As many as 51 persons were injured when a city bus of the State Transport Corporation in which they were travelling fell into a road side water tank at Esanai village on the Perambalur-Salem highway near here yesterday.

Police said the bus was proceeding to Perambalur from Velluvadi when the mishap occurred.

Police and fire service personnel rushed to the spot and removed them to the Government Headquarters hospital here.
