Senior Journalist Tara Shankar Sahay passes away
New Delhi, Mar 18 (UNI) Senior journalist Tara Shankar Sahay died here early this morning after prolonged illness.
Tara Shankar, 54, is survived by his wife and a son.
Tara Shankar, son of eminent journalist and former Editor of the Statesman S Sahay, was hospitalised for more than a month.
Starting his career with UNI in 1979, Tara Shankar worked in various newspapers before shifting to rediff.com.
Known for his excellent writing skills, Tara Shankar covered several important political events for nearly two decades.
Tara Shankar was cremated this afternoon at the Lodhi Road Crematorium. Members of his family and a large number of journalists attended the funeral.
