Varsity to organise industry-institute interface

Puducherry, Mar 18: The Department of Management Studies of the Pondicherry University will organise a three-day industry-institute interface programme 'Synapse-2008' from March 19.

Addressing a press conference here last night, Head of the Department Basheer Ahamed Khan and faculty advisor to the event Chitra Sivasubramaniam said the programme aimed at providing knowledge to the students about the contemporary business environment through live interaction with industrialists.

The theme of the event would be "New Age India in Global Cluster." It would have seven panel discussions on various subjects, including marketing, finance, operations and systems.

President and Director of PRECOT, Coimbatore, P Saiprakash would inaugurate the programme.
