N-deal: UPA-Left meet ends in deadlock
New Delhi, Mar 17: The UPA-Left Coordination Committee on the Indo-US nuclear deal held its seventh meeting here today and decided to meet again in April to hold further discussions on India's negotiations with the IAEA on the safeguards agreement.
The committee members felt that further discussions were needed on India's negotiations with the international nuclear watchdog on the India-specific nuclear safeguards agreement, External Affairs Minister and Convenor of the committee Pranab Mukherjee told reporters. He said the government briefed the committee members on the negotiations with the IAEA. All the members of the committee were present at the nearly 75-minute meeting, held at Mr Mukherjee's residence.
