Honorarium for village heads in J'khand

Ranchi, Mar 17 (UNI) Chief Minister Madhu Koda today said the government would soon provide honorarium to the village heads of Jharkhand.

Replying a query of Shushila Hansda(JMM) in the Assembly, Mr Koda said at present the ''gram pradhans'' of Kolhan region were being given such honorarium and the government would soon make similar arrangements for the village heads of other areas.

To a query of Sukhdeo Bhagat(Congress) Mr Koda said a seniority list of SC/ST category employees of state government was being prepared and they would be promoted soon.

Speaking about efforts in promotion of education in the state, Mr Koda said cycles were being distributed among the SC/ST girls to attract them to schools and the government was also planning to extend this facilicity to general category girls from the next fiscal.
