Haryana refutes Delhi's claim on water supply
Chandigarh, Mar 17 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today refuted the Delhi government's claim that Haryana was supplying less water to Delhi from Yamuna river.
''There is no truth in the statement made by Delhi Chief Minister (Sheila Dikshit) that Haryana is supplying less water to Delhi from river Yamuna,'' Mr Hooda said while talking to mediapersons in the press lobby of the State Assembly.
He said Haryana had been supplying Delhi's due share of water whereas the level of water in Yamuna had reduced by one-third as compared to last year. During these days last year, Yamuna had 6000 cusecs of water but now it was 2000 cusecs, he added.
