Four Haryana youths held for carrying fake ECNR

Chennai, Mar 17 (UNI) Airport Customs officials today arrested four Haryana-based youths here at the Anna International terminal on the charges of carrying fake Emmigration Check Not Required (ECNR) certificates to travel to Malaysia.

Airport officials said during the immigration check, the customs officials found that Kulbir Singh (25), Nirmal Singh (28), Jagbir Singh (30) and Sankuvar Singh (26) attempted to board a Kuala Lumpur bound flight with fake ECNR certificates.

Interrogation revealed that the four had obtained visas at the Malaysian Embassy here by producing the fake ECNR certificate to get a job in Malaysia.

Later, the four were handed over to the airport police for further investigation.
