3 killed in accident near Washim in Maharashtra
Nagpur, Mar 17 (UNI) Three people, including two women, were killed and six others injured, three of them seriously, when their van collided with a truck in Washim district in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra this afternoon.
The van rammed into the oncoming truck, near village Ukdi Pen, about 15 km from Washim. The van was on its way from Hingoli to Washim, police said.
The victims have been identified as Chandrabhaga Namdeo Mate (70), Laxmi Nivrutti Mate (65), both residents of Washim district, and the driver of the van Samir Ramdas Ingle (27), a resident of Akola district.
The injured were admitted to a hospital in Washim. Of them, the three was seriously injured, were later shifted to Akola, police added.
