11 brick kiln, 7 plywood units closed in central Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 17 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered closure of 11 brick kiln and 7 plywood factories set up illegally in the central Kashmir district of Badgam.

An official spokesman said reports were received that a number of brik kiln and plywood factories have been set up in the district without any proper permission.

He said Deputy Commissioner Badgam Khawaja Farooq Ahmad Renzu alongwith a team of officers visited a number of areas in the district.

During the inspection, the team found 11 brick kiln and seven plywood factories without proper permission from the concerned authorities.

Mr Renzu ordered on the spot closure of all the illegal factories.

He also ordered to wreck the lywood factory which was being constructed during night hours.
