Bangalore Airport recorded 10 cm rain in the State

Banalore, Mar 16 (UNI) Following is the summary of observations recorded in weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall amounts (cm): Bangalore Airport 10, Humchadakatte 9, Sravanabelgola 7.

Other chief rainfall amounts (cm): Kammardi, Mysore 6 each, Karkala, Jayapura, Agumbe 5 each, Napoklu, Sringeri, Kalasa, Kottigehara, K R Nagara, Nanjangud, Tiptur, Hassan 4 each, Mudibidre, Dharmasthala, Virajpet, Kushalnagar, Tarikere, Hunsur, Hessarghatta 3 each.

Maximum temperatures appreciably rose at most places over North Interior Karnataka and rose at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. They were appreciably below normal at most places over South Interior Karnataka; below normal at many places over North Interior Karnataka and at a few places over Coastal Karnataka.

Gulbarga recorded the highest maximum temperature of 36.5 degree celsius over the State.

Minimum temperatures fell at most places over Coastal Karnataka and changed little over Interior Karnataka They were above normal at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and were normal over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Agumbe recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 18.2 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Tuesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to rather heavy rain likely to occur at many places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka.

Heavy rain may occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and Ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka during next 24 hours.
