UT bans sale of non-ISI mark helmets
Chandigarh, Mar 15 (UNI) The Chandigarh Administration has issued an order to ban the sale of non-ISI mark helmets in the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
While giving the order, District Magistrate R K Rao asked for immediate check on the sale of non-ISI mark poor quality helmets in order to ward off danger to human life in the event of an accident.
Any breach of this order will be punishable under the provision of the Indian Penal Code. The order will come into force with effect from March 15 and would be effective up to May 13.
