''No trust'' against Speaker unfortunate, says Chouhan
Bhopal, Mar 15 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said the Opposition moving a notice to bring a no confidence motion against Assembly Speaker Ishwardas Rohani was 'unfortunate'.
Mr Chouhan told reporters here today that the post of Speaker of Assembly or Lok Sabha is a very dignified place in the parliamentary tradition and this act of opposition had harmed its dignity.
The State Assembly had a history of high parliamentary tradition and Mr Rohani was following it, he said.
''In a democracy, differences and protest are common but it should not cause any harm to decorum and dignity of the parliamentary tradition,'' he said, adding that the Opposition should not have taken such step.
The Assembly was informed about a notice of no confidence motion against Mr Rohani on Thursday with the Opposition claiming the notice was served to protest the ''highhandedness'' of the Speaker.
