Maharashtra: Jawadekar files nomination for RS pollst

Mumbai, Mar 15: National BJP spokesman Prakash Jawadekar filed his nomination for Rajya Sabha seat today on the last day of filing nomination papers.

With seven candidates in fray for seven seats of the Upper House, the unanimous election of Union Petroleum Minister Murli Deora, Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Prithviraj Chauhan (Cong), Yogendra Trivedi, Janardan Waghmare (NCP), Bharatkumar Raut and Rajkumar Dhoot (Shiv Sena ) is almost certain.

The scrutiny of the nomination papers will be held on March 17 while the last day for withdrawals is March 19.
