HP Civil Supplies Corporation posts Rs 660.25 crore turnover
Shimla, Mar 15 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Civil Supplies Corporation posted Rs 660.25 crore turnover up to February this year, an increase of Rs 201.45 crore as compared to the corresponding period last year.
Besides, it also executed government supplies of medicines, cement and GI/DI/CI pipes worth about Rs 197.07 crore up to this February, State Civil Supplies Minister Ramesh Dhawala said while presiding over the 113th meeting of its Board of Directors here.
He said the government supply orders executed were Rs 18.61 crore more as compared to the corresponding period last year.
Mr Dhawala said the government had also decided to continue the specially subsidised ration scheme for which an amount of Rs 90 crore had been provided in the budget proposals for the year 2008-09.
The Himachal Government had already provided subsidised food items worth Rs 170 crore, he added.
