Chirag Mehta takes over as President of Ahmedabad TIE

Ahmedabad, Mar 15: Governing body of the city branch of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE) has elected IceNet CEO and Managing Director Chirag Mehta as its President for the next two years.

Speaking to mediapersons here today, Mr Mehta said Gujarat being the hub of entrepreneurial activities, TIE has a huge potential here. TIE is a global organisation of entrepreneurs and the vision for TIE in the city would be to connect Gujarati spirit of entrepreneurship to the Global Network of TIE entrepreneurship, he added.

''We want local entrepreneurs to connect with global venture capital firms and angel investors and rejuvenate the venture capital scenario in the State,'' Mr Mehta said.

TIE Ahmedabad is also looking forward to collaborate with certain esteemed organisations and institutes in the city and has already been approached by the IIM-A, MICA, DAIICT, he added.
