AP Govt to issue identity cards to tenant farmers

Hyderabad, Mar 15 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government proposed to provide identity cards to tenant farmers in the State based on the recommendation of the Koneru Ranga Rao Committee, Revenue Minister D Prasada Rao said today.

Replying to Mr T Veerabhadram and other CPI(M) members, the Minister said the modalities for implementation of the recommendation were being worked out in consultation with financial institutions since legal and administrative issues were involved.
