American Express launches the Platinum Club in Chennai

Members of the Club would automatically receive the new American Express Platinum Credit Card, their key to a host of leading membership benefits, specially designed to enhance the lifestyle of affluent customers, a company release here said.

The Platinum Club comes with unique benefits and exclusive privileges to meet the financial and lifestyle needs of this discerning consumer set. To this end, American Express has entered into strategic relationships with Kingfisher Airlines, The Taj Group of Hotels and more than 700 Platinum Partners, including India's leading restaurants, retail stores and spas.

The Club also offers ten times more points-earning potential and greater rewards. Membership to the Platinum Club was only through the American Express Platinum Credit Card, which was also launched today.

The membership to the Club was available for a lifetime foundation fee of Rs 50,000, the release added.
