Zellweger doesn't want pile on the pounds for 'Bridget Jones 3'

Washington, Mar 14 : Doing a third Bridget Jones' Diary flick is surely on the cards for Renee Zellweger, but she's not interested in putting on extra weight for the role.

The 38-year-old star has also given her idea for the third instalment of the series and is ready to play the unlucky in love Briton in the, as long as she doesn't have to pile on the pounds.

Earlier, the actress had gained weight to play Helen Fielding's literary heroine in the two earlier movies and won the hearts of both the critics and the audience with her portrayal of the British singleton.

The last film in the series, 'Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason', released four years back, and Zellweger has not ruled out a return till date.

"If it works into my life and it's worthwhile and interesting. It depends on there being another book, of course. I would love to read how she's been. Actually, I would love her to go to L.A. and have a baby," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

On the weight issue, she said: "I had a panic attack with all the specialists talking about how bad this is for you long-term, putting on that much weight in short periods of time. The health professionals were warning me about not continuing the project any further. (It was) absolutely horrible (losing the weight). The first lap around the track, I felt like I had a small toddler attached to my back."
