Rajnath's plane develops snag
Bhopal, Mar 14 (UNI) A chartered plane carrying Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Rajnath Singh and his staff developed a snag while en route from Delhi to Madhya Pradesh's Sagar but landed safely at the local airport today.
''A technical problem resulted in the wheels not opening and after circling a few times over Sagar the pilot decided to touch down here. Arrangements were made for an emergency landing but the wheels opened in the nick of time and the aircraft touched down at about 1500 hrs,'' said Superintendent of Police Jaideep Prasad.
Mr Singh left for Sagar by another plane to take part in a kisan mela in that district's Garhakota. He was accompanied by state BJP President Narendra Singh Tomar and Public Works Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya.
