Producers Guild Awards 2008 to be held on March 30
Mumbai, Mar 14 (UNI) The Film and TV Producers Guild of India today announced The Producers Guild Awards 2008 for excellence and achievement in theatrical motion pictures, which will be held on March 30 at the MMRDA grounds here.
The announcement was made in the presence of eminent members of the guild like Manmohan Shetty, Ronnie Screwala and Bollywood actress Vidya Balan. Stars like Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Shreyas Talpade and Ritesh Deshmukh will be performing for the event which will be attended by the whose-who of Bollywood.
The award has been instituted by the Film and TV Producers Guild of India with an objective to establish a benchmark and a standard for honouring excellence and achievements in the industry.
Speaking to mediapersons here, UTV Chief Executive Officer Ronnie Screwala said, ''The Producers Guild Awards looks to honour achievers within the fraternity and is an initiative from the fraternity itself.'' UNI LS SR RL HT1557
