BMC to implement hoarding policy from Apr 1
Mumbai, Mar 14 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will implement the new policy on hoardings from April 1, and remove all the hoardings in the city that have been put up as per the old policy, Additional Municipal Commissioner R A Rajiv said here today.
Mr Rajiv added that there are around 2,100 hoardings in the city and the court has asked the Corporation to give an individual hearing to the site owners.

Meanwhile, Standing Committee member Niyaz Vanu, who has filed a case regarding the new policy on hoardings, said that the case has not come up for hearing and that the court's stand was awaited.
Mr Vanu has filed a case against the administration for not taking the Standing Committee members into confidence while drafting the new policy on hoardings.
