Amarinder directed to submit list of witnesses by March 29
Shimla Mar 14 (UNI) A local court here in Himachal Pradesh today directed former Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh to submit a list of his witnesses by March 29 in the defamation case filed by Himachal Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal.
Mr Dhumal had filed a defamation case against the then Punjab chief minister for his alleged statement made in a public rally in year 2003, accusing him of having accumulated wealth more than his known sources of income.
In his affidavit submitted to the court on the last date of the hearing, Mr Singh had stated that he had no intentions to malign Mr Dhumal's and that his statements was blown out of proportion by the local media.
The case comes up for hearing on March 29, later this month.
