10-year old boy burnt alive in Delhi
New Delhi, Mar 14 : A 10-year-old boy was burnt alive allegedly by five drunken members of a marriage party on Thursday night in Alipur village on the outskirts of Delhi.
Sanjeev's burnt body was found in an agricultural field, police said.
Villagers claimed that a Toyota Qualis vehicle carrying the groom's wedding party from Meerut had hit the boy, who was riding a bicycle.
Enraged over the boy's demand for compensation to get his bicycle repaired, the drunk men beat him up and burnt in a field.
The burnt body was later found by a farmer. "We have detained five members of the marriage party, including two cab drivers in this connection," a police official said.
Tension prevails in the area following the incident.
