Ulfa explodes bomb in abandoned oil well
Guwahati, Mar 12(UNI) In their continued strike against Oil India Limited installations, the Ulfa today exploded a crude bomb in an abandoned well near Rupahibill bongaon under Rudrasagar oil field.
However, no damage was caused to the well as the bomb was of low intensity.
The outfit yesterday blasted a bomb near a seismological survey vehicle which was being manned by Polish engineers. They escaped unhurt but in Doomdoma two persons were killed and six wounded in an explosion by the ultras.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made around all the vital OIL installations following intelligence reports of more attack by the oufit in Upper Assam.
