Railway constable arrested for molesting women
Mangladai, Mar 12 (UNI) A Government Railway Police Force (GRPF) constable was arrested from Tangla railway station in Assam's Udalguri district last night for allegedly molesting two female railway passengers.
The women were travelling in the up Arunachal Pradesh Express and GRPF constable Sihum Tiga allegedly molested them after locking them up in a coach.
The women reportedly shouted for help when the train entered Tangla railway station, alerting the local people who forced open the coach and rescued them.
There were 12 GRPF personnel in the coach at that time, who were all taken to the local police station. The others were set free after the women identified Sihum.
The train was also held up at the station for about two hours, while the local people ghearoed the Tangla police station demanding action against the accused.
