KVB to launch doorstep banking service
Karur, Mar 12 (UNI) The Karur Vysya Bank Limited (KVB) will launch banking services at the doorstep of customers before June this year, Bank Chairman P T Kuppusamy said.
In a release here today, he said representatives of the bank would visit houses/working place of the customers and collect the deposit money. The scheme, under process, would be implemented in nearly 25 centres and extended to all other branches in a phased manner.
The bank would also introduce an instant remittances service under which the customers could deposit the money to the cashier without waiting at the counter, he said.
The bank officials would carrying out the procedures by viewing the video cameras and register the entries duly into the ledgers.
The system was under test now at main branches of the bank in Coimbatore and Karur. To start with, the service would be introduced in about 25 branches by June end.
Stating that the bank would garner an aggregate business of Rs 21,000 crore this year, he said the bank would open three more branches one each at Chennai, Hyderabad and Coimbatore before end of this month.
