Guv, CM condoles death of BIT Mesra vice-chancellor

Ranchi, Mar 12 (UNI) Jharkhand governor Syed Sibtey Razi, Chief Minister Madhu Koda today condoled the demise of BIT Mesra vice-chancellor Sanat Kumar Mukherjee.

Mukharjee, 56, was suspected to be suffering from TB and was admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Kolkata on February 23.

In his message, the governor said it created a vacuum in the technical education.

The Chief Minister, expressing condolence to the bereaved family, said the loss was irreparable as he contributed a lot to the growth of premier institution.

Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Arjun Munda expressing sorrow recalled the educationist's contribution to the technical field in the country.

Scince and technology minister Chandra Prakash Choudhry termed his death as a loss to the country.
