Death toll in road mishap rises to 12 in Punjab
Gurdaspur, Mar 12 (UNI) The death toll in yesterday's bus accident near Naushera Majha Singh on the Pathankot-Amritsar highway rose to 12, with two persons succumbing to their injuries in hospitals today.
According to official reports, Amarjit Kaur who was admitted at the civil hospital at Batala died this morning while another injured Harvinder scummbed to his injuries at a hospital in Amritsar.
A total of ten persons including five women were killed in the mishap which occured when the private bus which was driving at high speed rammed into a tree and overturned after the driver lost control.
