11 died, 2 injured as tractor-trolley falls into well

Nashik, Mar 11 (UNI) Eleven people were killed and two others injured when their tractor-trolley fell into a well at village Sonjamb in Dindori taluka of the district.

According to sources, there were 14 farm labourers in a tractor-trolley. Of them, 11 people, including women and children, were killed and two injured when the tractor-trolley fell into the well this evening at around 1945 hrs. All of them were labourers from Singalchond village in Surgana taluka of the district.

They were returning home after finishing the day's work at a grape farm, when the tractor driver lost control over the wheel.

The two injured have been admitted to Surgana rural hospital.

The dead were identified as Bendu Gaikwad (45), Yamuna Chaudhary (22), Anita Chaudhary (2), Pinti Chaudhary (2 months), Gangaram Chaudhary (45), Ranabai Gaikwad (20), Parvatabai Surkar (35), Rekha Mahale (14), Chetan Gaikwad (2), Maya Gaikwad (4 months) and Jagdish Jadhav (28).

Further investigations are on, sources added.
