Car sales up 2 pc in Feb, bike sales dip 18 pc

New Delhi, Mar 11, 2008 : The rough ride for the Indian automobile industry continued with overall vehicle sales declining 10.34% in February mainly on account of falling motorcycle sales that declined 17.68%.

According to figures released by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers or SIAM, domestic passenger car sales managed a growth of 2.31% in February. Total domestic vehicles sale in February stood at 742,027 units as against 827,594 units in February 2007.
