Three landmines recovered by police in West Midnapore
Lalgarh, Mar 11(UNI) Police today recovered three high-powered landmines when a road was being repaired near here.
West Midnapore District Magistrate N S Nigam said the road was immediately closed to all vehicles and the bomb disposal squad informed at Kolkata.
Till now two land mines have been defused, he said.
Lalgarh is known to be a den of Maoists. A DYFI activist Buddhadeb Saha (21) was gunned down on Sunday near the place by Maoists. None has been arrested so far.
