Lawyers boycott court against Minister's statement
Hubli, Mar 11 (UNI) Members of the Hubli Bar Association today boycotted court proceedings in protest against the statement made by Union Law Minister H R Bharadwaj in Parliament yesterday to the effect that there was no need for a Circuit Bench in Hubli.
The agitators contended that after the necessary approval from the authorities concerned, the building construction work was in progress near Dharwad. But now, no funds were allocated for the Bench in the vote-on-account presented in Parliament yesterday.
Shouting slogans, the members walked out of the court rooms, condemning the statement of the Minister.
