Gujarat CM to lead farmers rally on March 17

Hubli, Mar 11 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Narendra Modi will lead farmers rally here on March 17.

Talking to newspersons here today, former Karnataka Minister and BJP leader Jagadish Shettar said the rally was aimed to apprise the farmers of the party's policies on agriculture development and to educate them on the implications of Rs 60,000 crore loan waiver in the Union Budget.

Mr Shettar said senior BJP leaders B S Yeddyurappa, K S Eshwarappa and National General Secretary Ananth Kumar, among others, would address the rally.

A huge procession would be taken out before converging into a public meeting, he added.
