Fake visas, 3 Iraq nationals held in Chennai airport

Chennai, Mar 11: Three Iraqi nationals were arrested by the Airport officials today for possession of fake Indian visas at the Anna International terminal this morning.

Officials said during the routine check by the immigration authorities they found that Ali Abouli Appar (35), Abdul Amil (30) and Raid Mousa (36), who were about to board a France-bound flight were carrying fake Indian visas with them. During interrogation, it came to light that the three Iraqi nationals landed in Mumbai with fake Indian passport two months ago and came to Chennai by train for onward travel to France.

Iraqi nationals were detained at the airport by the Q branch police. The customs officials were investigation whether they had committed any illegal activity during their two-month stay in the country.
