Come avail facilities under self employment, J

Srinagar, Mar 11 (UNI) Impressing upon the educated youths to come forward and avail the facilities under self-employment and other schemes, Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Horticulture, irrigation and PHE Muhammad Dilawar Mir said about five lakh labourers of various trades come to Kashmir to earn their livelihood every year.

Reiterating that the government was committed to provide job opportunities to the educated youth, a number of self-employment and other employment generating schemes were under implementation in the state which would help to overcome the unemployment problem.

Launching an Automobile Showroom here, he said that our educated youth have tremendous talent and can exihibit in a better way by setting up of their own units in various sectors like health, agriculture, horticulture and tourism.

He said the unit holders could provide employment not only to others but earn for themselves also.

Mr Mir said about five lakh labourers of various trades come to Kashmir to earn their livelihood adding that we have to change our work culture for a dignified life.

The minister said government respects the educated young generation and many steps have been taken to tackle unemployment problem.

He said government had decided that female candidates having matriculation with 75 per cent marks would be recruited for Anganwari centres.
