58th Chief Signal Officers meet on March 12

Panaji, Mar 11: Lt Gen S P S Dhillon, Deputy Chief of Army Staff will chair the 58th Chief Signal Officers and Commandants Conference, beginning here from March 12, at the 2-Signal Training Centre.

The three-day conference will discuss critical issues related to increased army communications, connectivity to grassroots level, cyber security and network-centric warfare aspects. The event is expected to expose the young soldiers, considered the information warriors of the future, to the nitty-gritty of the sensitive defence communications in techniques, according to official sources.

Prominent among those attending the conference include Lt Gen S P Sree Kumar, Signal Officer-in-Chief, besides 50 chief signal officers and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Signals.
