HAV demands HM's resignation and CBI probe on violence
Kottayam, Mar 10 (UNI) Hindu Aikya Vedi(HAV) today demanded the resignation of the Kerala Home Minister and a CBI probe into the violence at Kannur.
Talking to newspersons here, HAV General Secretary E S Biju and other leaders charged that the Home Minister, who was supposed to take stern action to maintain peace in the region, was encouraging violence by transferring police officials, who were discharging their duties impartially.
When asked about the RSS attack on CPI(M) head-quarters at Delhi, they said it was a natural reaction of people against the homicide and Taliban-model violence of the CPI(M) at Kannur. HAV was for peace and would not support violence, they added.
HAV in its delegate session resolved to stage agitations to find solutions to the problems confronting Hindu Community in the State.
As part of the agitation, Temple Liberation Action Council would be formed at Thiruvananthapuram on April 19.
The session also resolved to support agitations against Sachar Committee report, Paloli Committee report and Dalit Christians' reservation.
