Feb car sales rise to 94756 units, bikes continue to skid

New Delhi, Mar 10: Car sales for the month of February 2008 increased to 94756 units from 92618 units in the corresponding month last year, even as motorcycle sales continued to see decline, clocking 425089 units as compared to 516410 units in the same month previous year.

In the two-wheeler space total sales continued to slip with sales of 542578 units in February as compared to 632712 units in the corresponding month last year. Total three-wheeler sales for the month of February 2008 clocked 28547 units as compared to 33875 units in the corresponding month last year.Medium and Heavy Commercial vehicles saw sales 26299 units in February 2008 as compared to 25920 units in the same month last year.
