Deputy registrar cooperatives in vigilance net in Kashmir
Srinagar, Mar 10 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Vigilance Organisation (VO) has registered a case against deputy registrar and other officials of cooperative societies in south Anantnag under the Prevention of Corruption Act (PCA).
A spokesman for the VO said a tip-off was received that officials of Cooperative societies have misappropriated thousands of Kerosene oil in Anantnag district.
He said during an investigation it was found that then Dy registrar Sonaullaha Malla and other officials had misappropriated 39 thousand litres of kerosene oil which was for public distribution on subsidized rates during the year 2007.
