Badal's no to CBI inquiry in college principal murder case
Chandigarh, Mar 10 (UNI) The government today outrightly rejected the demand for a CBI inquiry into the murder of former KMV, Jalandhar college principal Ms Reeta Bawa and three others last year.
"The Punjab Police is in no way inferior to the CBI", Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal told the Punjab Assembly during question hour.
Mr Badal while replying to a querry by K D Bhandari (BJP) said that a special investigation team under the supervision of the DIG (Jalandhar Range) had been constituted for solving the case. He informed that several persons had been questioned by this team in this connection.
The Chief Minister assured the House that the culprits would be soon brought to book.
