2 cases of substandard food under midday meal scheme: Min

New Delhi, Mar 10 (UNI) Certain instances of supplying substandard food to children had come to notice, the Government today admitted.

In a written reply, Minister of state for Human Resource Development MAA Fatmi told Rajya Sabha that the Bihar Government had received complaints from Rohtas district, Shiv Sagar block and from Khagria district, Mansi block.

In the first case, an inquiry and action had been taken and the meal was being supervised by the local village committee. The matter was under examination in the case of Mansi, he said.
