Attack on CPI(M) an act of desperation by 'Safforn Brigade': Lalu

New Delhi, Mar 9 (UNI) Condemning today's clash between CPI(M) and RSS-BJP workers at the Left party's headquarter's here, Rashtriya Janata Dal(U) chief Lalu Prasad today demanded strict action against the culprits.

''The attack on the progressive political parties was an act of desperation by the fascist forces. In fact, the BJP and the RSS have always tried to crush their opponents by the use of violence,'' he said in a statement here.

He said the ''safron brigade'' had been disintegrated and lost its base, and the attack was indicative of this defeat and desperation.

''It is now time for those who are still in the BJP-RSS fold to decide whether they would support such acts of violence,'' said the RJD chief.

There was no place for violence in a country like India, he asserted.
