500 JK police personnel promoted in Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 9: About 500 personnel of the Jammu and Kashmir police were promoted to next grade in the Kashmir valley, a police spokesman said.

He said the Inspector General (IG) of police, Kashmir range, has ordered promotion of 456 Head Constables.

Two selection grade constables were also promoted to next grade while seven constables and 43 followers were also elevated.

He said the promotions have been ordered on the basis of recommendation of Departmental Promotion Committee(DPC) constituted for this purpose.
