Increase exports to EU, says German Ambassador
Chennai, Mar 8 (UNI) German Ambassador to India Bernd Muetzelburg said with the value of the US Dollar depreciating, Indian exporters should increase the exports to the European Union (EU).
''India's relationship with the EU should become more important,'' he said at the Annual General Meeting of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce here last night.
Mr Bernd said German technology coupled with Indian talent could help produce products here at a fraction of the cost of production in Germany.
Germany was the second largest exporter to India and seventh largest importer.
Mr Bernd pointed out that the cooperation between the two countries in the fields of science and research had increased dramatically.
Chamber Director General Bernhard Steinruecke said investments worth seven billion Euro from Germany were in the pipeline.
