AICC to investigate failure of Tripura election: Dasmunsi

Kolkata, Mar 8 (UNI) Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi today asserted that the Congress would investigate its abysmal performance in the recently concluded Tripura Assembly election.

''The Congress will investigate the Tripura election result and the AICC and Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee would sit together to review the post-result scenario, Mr Dasmunsi, also the state Congress president, told newspersons here.

To a query, whether the result would have any bearing on the coming Panchayat election in the state, he alleged that earlier the CPI(M) had the people's support, but now it banked on police and party cadres for coming to power.

To another query, he said the Congress would decide on the possible alliance for the Rajya Sabha election on March ten.
